Once apon a time an engineer, an architect, a builder and a gardener were asked to make a garden for a group of hardworking volunteers ; the Friends of Roundhay Park. A derelict corner of Canal Gardens was offered and eventually, after hard work by many volunteers of all ages, an award winning, mature garden has arisen. A wide selection of trees, shrubs and flowering plants, many unusual, give interest all year round. Many people pass through the garden and many pause to enjoy a few moments of peace and contemplation.
